COUNTRY WEDDING // INSPIRATION

I’ve never been a big girlie wedding fuss type of a girl, and never fancied the idea of a sit down meal and the usual style. My older sister has recently got engaged, on her 30th birthday in Florida, what more could you want. She seems over the moon, and lets say we did not expect it in the slightest. Still the same old story from my self and my little sister. I am getting a little bit excited about the whole thing, and I am more than happy to be last one out of my sisters and I. Means, i get to learn and when it’s my time it should hopefully be done like a waving a magic wand. I am fantasy type of girl, i love having fun and i can’t be doing with anything serious. It’s not me. I like the idea of a bouncy castle and a big party on the family farm. So, here’s some inspirations to get me started on some ideas.

SPRING FLORAL // INSPIRATION

Frida Giannini for Gucci - Resort Spring 2013

It's all about the floral prints. The resort Spring 2013 collections are showing some inspiring prints and Patternbank love Frida Giannini’s collection for Gucci, Garden Crop for more floral inspiration. These beautiful hand drawn florals that appeared on everything from a floor-length burgundy gowns to a white linen peacoat, looked striking on their solid colour backgrounds. In fact the Flora print was used in her debut collection of accessories for the house in 1997 to decorate various garments.

VALENTINES // INSPIRATIONS

Most people who know me, know that i am a total Valentine Scrooge. Never Liked it and never thought the point of it. I have always felt that it is a day that we are pressured to do, and get a disappointment if we don’t get what we want. After all i should know, Valentines had always been unlucky for me. I have always had top presents from people who I haven’t dated, how i managed that I have no idea, and yet the people I have been for this occasion, have seriously let me down on a number of occasions. It’s sucks, the whole thing is a waste of money, silly commercial day in my opinion  Prices go up and everywhere is packed, no thank you. Would much rather be at home playing a game of little big planet, or having a film // take away in my own space.
I may be a big moody scrooge but i do have a little bit of a romantic side and  I have managed to put together a little inspiration of the Valentines theme. Some of these items are actually quite nice and may have to invest in some of them. Just a shame i don’t know where they come from, might be a good thing actually as I am desperately trying not to spend.  The amount of stuff i have in my bedroom would be enough to fill a house – minus all of the furniture.

WEDDING MOOD BOARDS // INSPIRATION

1. a country theme wedding. 2. A cadbury's Romance Wedding.

We’ve all been planning our big day since a very young age, we always imagined it would be this big fairy tale and that we would one day get to meet our prince charming, get married and  have a happy ever after ending. Think i watched too much Disney films when i was younger, having said that, I’ve never really been in to the big wedding fuss my self. Not even now, not really. I love going to Weddings, but it hasn’t always clicked my boat. Now it seems to be a bit of a race between my sister and I. She’s on all the planning, you name it and she doesn’t even have a ring yet, I on the other hand, have a Ring, (still waiting for the proposal) and still live at home with the family. So weird how things work out. My sister is not much younger than me, a lot of people have thought we were twins, doesn’t surprise me as we could have got away with it. We’re very similar in our own unique ways,  and it’s always been a little bit of a race to see who does what first, but even though she thinks i am better than her, she is the one that is  beating me by a thousand miles… she just doesn’t seem to know it yet. Some images that my sister has liked for her wedding ideas, put them in a mood for her to help with her Wedding Planning… Still not done the Proposal though.

COUNTRY MOOD // INSPIRATION

After having a sad day, and trying to cheer my self up i decided to do a country mood board that inspired me from Grandpa. Grandpa spent his 20′s and 30;s in Africa, after that he came back to England to Look after the family farm. His dad became un well and didn’t feel he could look after the farm anymore, so he said to grandpa, either he was to come back and take over, or he was to sell it. I think after a good session of thinking, Grandma and Grandpa decided that they would come home, as they felt they had to take on the farm, just because it had been in the family for so long. I, and my siblings are the firth Generation to have// be part of the farm. We have a lot of Family history in our little home town, and i would love to carry that on. I know Grandpa is proud of me for everything that i have done, and doing the farm, but I want to show him i can take the Farm on and make him even more proud. Life has changed so suddenly, it just goes to show that you have to go out and live your life, do what you want and follow your heart. You just never know whats going to turn round and bite you in the bum.

Good night grandpa.

My world has fallen apart, the night mare hasn't even begun and already I just want to run a way and pretend that this isn't happening, or just travel back in time so we can have some happy times again.
My poor grandpa was rushed to the hospital yesterday, he's been poorly and not been quite right for a few months but he always kept on going and kept smiling and always battled on. The past two weeks he's suddenly been getting things sorted and helping out where he could, I never thought twice about it but my dad knew.  I saw him last Friday and we went to the bank to get some of his belongings, and some money as we normally do. I recently found out that he wasn't very well on at the weekend, Which i don't understand why nothing was done about it sooner. Apparently it wouldn't have made any different as his kidneys were failing anyway.
I spent some time with him and grandma on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night after work. I try to go up and see them anytime, and try to keep them happy and make sure they are okay. The last time I saw grandpa talking and happy was on Wednesday. He looked really fragile and Grandma had to help him through to the lounge to sit down, I've never seen him like that before. It was heart breaking, normally Grandma is the one that needed help. However, we were all Chatting away, laughing, smiling, joking about short bread and why don't we have long bread, he sounded much better and told me he hoped there was cure. He's been having bladder//kidney problems for a while. Just over a year he was rushed to hospital and was diagnosed with one faulty kidney. This meant he was then strapped up with a bag, and after that, he did't go out much, not as much as he used too. He stopped going to the farm, and only did it on a Sunday  Slowly over time he stopped that, but i could still get him to the bank, the hospital on a Monday for his bag, and other things. He kept going, despite that he could barely see, he kept on going but then 8/9 weeks a go, he suddenly got the shakes and couldn't do much any more. He slowly went down hill but it's easier to see it now, now looking back it so much easier to see it than it was at the time. I am so glad the past year has turned out the way it has, I've spent so much time and done so much to help, i even got my own set of keys for the farm. so much has happened but I  Never ever expected that would be the last night i'd  see him alive and happy.
Yesterday he was rushed to hospital and I just thought he would be okay. I just thought he needed some fluid and some rest and that he would recover. Dad wasn't convinced and knew he wouldn't be coming home. He knew he was giving up and in the end, and he did. I don't know if that was by choice or what, part of me feels he didn't want to go, but he didn't want to suffer any more or he didn't want us to see him struggling. He had always been the man of the house, and for him to be like that was embarrassing for him.  I don't feel he was ready to go,  he just wasn't. I know he was unhappy and fed up, but he loved seeing the family and he loved my visits. I had such a giggle with him on Wednesday, joking, smiling, and i even stayed longer to help him make there dinner, made the tea and got it all ready for him. The last words i got from him were,
Thank you Amy, for everything that you do for us, we miss your visits and to go see them when ever i want,  we  like to see you  and you  always cheer us up. we are really great full for everything that you do and all your help..... thank you for the shortbread,
that's okay grandpa, i am always happy to help out and hope you feel better in the morning, hope the short breads cheer you up a bit too....
Those words will stick with me for a very long time. I just can't believe how he went down hill so quickly and so suddenly, I don't think any amount of human love was enough to save him. Even dear grandma who needs him to keep her sane.

I'll miss you dear grandpa, so much. The world will never be the same again and i can't believe i will never see or talk to you again. MY world has ended and my heart and a broken hole in it. I will always love you grandpa.

TOPSHOP SALE // NEW

1. **Lurex Maxi Dress by Coco's Fortune MOCHA  //       2. **Gold Spot Midi Dress by Love CREAM

So, it looks at though i may have gone a little crazy and spent too much on Topshops Sale. However, I've not really done much shopping for some time, and most deffiniately not done any shopping at TOPSHOP  since in a very long time, so i think this was well treated.

However, was a bit disappointed in the dip hem skirt in cobalt  It doesn't flatter my curvy hips so i think that one may have to be sent back.
